Such a cute place. Everyone was nice. Seating inside and outside to enjoy your goodies. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside for a little bit. Everything was in bloom and it was very peaceful. All the food looked good. Will be back to try some other things.

Good service, friendly people, excellent baked goods, and getting there is a pleasure in itself!

I've been going to the Country Bakery for at least 30 years and they have never missed a beat. Went there on 12/14/2024, late in the day hoping to find something left, and to my lasting gratitude, they had DONUTS left! I grabbed a half-dozen, and as always, the very best I have ever had. Picked up a carrot cake and some pull-aparts as well, then returned to Eugene and spread the wealth with loved ones. Go early in the day to ensure you get the donuts, and know that every other item will be just as well amde.

The owners are amazing, sweet friendly people. She makes the best women bars, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and everything else you can think of definitely worth the drive. I live in Harrisburg so not too far but I know a ton of people that come from Eugene Corvallis and Albany to go to this bakery, very clean and people working are always nice. Give it a try and I promise you will go back.

Always love this place, it's not a place you go to every weekend but once every few months is great for fresh and home baked baked sweets and treats, jams and nuts, breads and pastas.

This was our second visit to the bakery. Stopped here a couple years ago on our way to Eugene and had to stop again. Who can resist real cherry pie, maple twists, gluten free chocolate chip cookies and so much more. Of course my hubby could not resist buying one of the beautiful coffee mugs. Only open Friday and Saturday but not to be missed. Love this place. Beautiful grounds to walk while eating your snack. Farm fresh eggs. Bottled beverages and a free cup of coffee. Thank you. What an amazing bakery.

We were looking for a local kind of a field trip so we decided to track down this Mennonite Bakery we had heard about called 'The Country Bakery' in Halsey. Can't get much more rural than this out in the huge open flatlands of agriculture fields and barns. We pull in to a property with a nice house. Fortunately there's a sign at the driveway entrance. The front door of the home is the business entrance and walking in is like walking into someone's living room. Just off to the right in the dining room you see it! A table with breads, maple twists, cookies, oatmeal cakes and more! There is a rack with extra goodies to resupply the dining table. We were warmly welcomed by the proprietor who offered to show us around. There is an open closet to one side with shelves of pottery mugs and jams. Another room nearby was like a gift room with various quiltings, puzzles, pictures and more. The next thing you know, we are being given the Grand Tour of the house that was built and designed by the family. The tour started in one of the kitchens where the magic happens! Then we were introduced to 'mom' a dear 102 year old lady who had a nice chair by the kitchen with a fantastic view of the water out back and the customer sales area. Upstairs are the various bedrooms, reading rooms, studies and such all with secretive doors to closets running along the length of the roof. The whole atmosphere of the place was extremely comforting and inviting, it was a pleasure just to be there. See my pics for the tour she gave us. We left with snickerdoodles and peanut butter cookies. We also munched up the molasses cookies before we made it off the property. The cookies and all the goodies came in various amounts so you could buy sparingly or go whole hog on a larger amount. We also purchased an oatmeal cake, a maple twist that resembled half a pizza and some chocolate fudge brownie that was so smooth and delicate it was like eating ganache fresh from the kitchen, which basically it was. They are only open on Fridays and Saturdays but they are doing a bang up business. By the time our impromptu tour was done, the customer area was fairly packed and most of the goods were gone, so we dove in and grabbed our assortment, plus I had to get one of their coffee mugs as a souvenir. Warm welcoming smiles, comfortable atmosphere and loads of freshly baked goods with none of the preservatives, some was even gluten free, yes, we will return.

Country Bakery is a wonderful, beautiful, delicious, and unique pastry shop. The actual business is actually inside the owner's home, which instantly tells you how fresh and soulful the baked goods are. I purchased a ton of donuts as well as some sour cream twists. The donuts were some of the best I had, the chocolate cream puff's sweet vanilla filling was so light and satisfyingly delicate, the glazed donut was just classic, and the maple bar was perfectly sweet and had a slightly gummy or "bouncy" texture to the dough which I loved. The sour cream twists were perfect as well, the icing was spot on. One of the best bakeries in Oregon. The owner pours her heart out to make these pastries fresh for everyone to enjoy every Friday and Saturday. Truly a special and warming place.

What an experience! They make all the pastries in the beautiful craftsman house. The women selling the pastries was friendly and her 100 year old mother was sitting behind her. We tried the sour cream knots, the maple bars, jelly donut, the peanut butter cookies, molasses cookies, snickerdoodles, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. All were delicious! The molasses were my favorite. The maple bar was so light and airy...it didnt look like anything special but oh so good! It was a busy place. We sat outside in a little garden and it was just beautiful! It's an adorable little place off the beaten path
